Joining TEC makes you part of the TEC family as well as just another crew member. We try our best to look after everyone and ensure that whilst you enjoy the things TEC has to offer you pass your exams as well!
How to Join
See our stall at Fresher's fayre
Freshers fayre is the event when every society struts it's stuff in an effort to attract new members, but TEC is one of the few that won't ask you for money to join us. The start of the year is a great time to join us, as you won't be the only new teccie. So, come visit our stall, it'll be the one with all the lights on it.

Training
We provide comprehensive training to help you along the way, letting you learn the ropes in safety and with the guidance of our own experienced crew members. Among others we can provide training in:
- Emergency First Aid qualifiaction.
- FAW, First Aid at Work qualification.
- Fire safety course.
- Electrical Safety and PAT testing.
- Official training on lighting consoles.
- and a wealth of experience in sound and lighting!
Social
There's more to life than training, doing shows and looking after business, that's why TEC has a social side as busy and varied as the business. The members of TEC share a strong team spirit and so are good friends. Apart from rigs we organise regular socials and trips away to do things from climbing Snowdon to visiting Alton Towers.
